The University of the Philippines Cebu’s Team Culay (Baggo) will represent Central Visayas in the national finals of the Philippine Startup Challenge X (PSC X) after winning the regional pitching competition held on November 22, 2025, at the Mezzo Hotel in Cebu City.

The team will compete in Clark, Pampanga, from December 2–5, 2025, joining the top student innovators from across the country.

DICT Region VII received 158 entries this year, its fourth consecutive year of submitting one of the highest entry counts nationwide. From this pool, only 25 teams advanced to the regional pitching round.

After a stringent screening and deliberation process, Team Culay secured the top spot with their standout pitch. The team is composed of Joanalyn Cadampog, Jezreel Chad Lumbab, and Berk Stephem Cutamora, under the mentorship of Mr. Ryan Dulaca.

Another team of Computer Science students, Team Panday, is also recognized for advancing as one of this year’s regional finalists.
