In Proclamation No. 1, Series of 2018, UP President Danilo L. Concepcion declared September 21 of every year as the UP Day of Remembrance throughout the University of the Philippines System.
With this, UP Cebu, together with other CUs is authorized and encouraged to hold hashtag campaigns, special lectures, fora, ceremonies, street plays, etc., devoted to the commemoration of UP’s participation and sacrifice in the struggle against Martial Law and to the continuing education on the importance of academic freedom, civil liberties, and human rights in our society.
