In commemoration of the Quincentennial in the Philippines, the University of the Philippines is holding a series of events in its eight constituent universities, namely UP Diliman, UP Los Baños, UP Manila, UP Visayas, UP Open University, UP Mindanao, UP Baguio, and UP Cebu. Anchored on the theme of the Quincentennial Commemoration on Valor and Humanity, the University takes the theme Gahum sa Buot: Tindig at Pamana ng Bayan to unite the various events across the University campuses in the country.

3) Yutang Tabunon: Currents and Crossroads of art and History, An Art exhibition of Visual Artists and Designers in the Visayas (June-August 2021)

4) Bulalakaw 500: A Video {Projection Mapping Project in Cebu’s Historical Monuments and Sites (April 2021-April 2022)

5) The Power of Four Colors (Poetry, theater, Dance, Music) (May 2021)

6) Cosplaying Philippine History and Folklore (March-October 2021)

7) Extramural on Reclaiming Our Rights as a People, As a Nation in the Global South (October 2021)

The UP Cebu Quincentennial Committee, constituted by representatives from the different colleges and offices in UP Cebu, is working with the local Office of Initiatives in Culture and the Arts (OICA), Fablab UP Cebu, Central Visayas Studies Center, College of Social Sciences, and the College of Communication, Art, and Design in holding these activities.
