For this year, the College of Communication, Art and Design (CCAD) will level-up its virtual convocation rites. Instead of the usual live stream ceremony, the announcement of the university and college scholars for the past academic year will be on their new webpage.
“CCAD opted to create a webpage for its convocation this year as part of its soon-to-be launched new website,” Dean Palmy Tudtud said.
The webpage, clad in sleek design and sophisticated colors, will be made available on Monday August 30, 2021 at 11:00 o’clock in the morning through the address ccad.upcebu.edu.ph.
Apart from the names of students who made it to the university and college list as scholars identified for their academic performance, it will aso contain embedded videos of UP Cebu Chancellor Liza Corro, CCAD Dean Palmy Tudtud, program coordinators Prof. Jason Baguia and Prof. Mona Alcudia and its keynote speaker, actress Chai Fonacier. The annual Jose Joya awardees and the photo of their artwork will also be showcased.
“Over half of the world’s population is connected to the web and our goal is to maximize our reach in terms of providing information or sharing memorable milestones of our students,” added Tudtud.
The dean also added that the convocation webpage is a launch to a bigger online portal for the college, its new website.
Working alongside faculty members Alcudia, Fidel Ricafranca and Maurice Villaester on this project, are students of the Fine Arts program Khyle Donal and Paulette Neri.
