On 22 May 2021, UP Cebu Chancellor Atty. Liza D. Corro was invited to the Commission on Higher Education Region VII’s awarding ceremony for their 1st National Higher Education Day and 27th Founding Anniversary.

UP Cebu garnered four awards, Plaque of Leadership Excellence, Plaque of Exemplary Leadership, Plaque of Exemplary Institutional Performance for UP Cebu, and the Plaque of Institutional Programs Excellence for UP Cebu.
Chancellor Corro offers these awards to UP Cebu constituents as UP Cebu would not be able to achieve any of these without the help of all.
Just a day before on the fourth day of CHED’s week-long celebration, Chancellor Corro was also invited to speak at their webinar on “Internationalization: The SUC’s Experience”.
