Without counting time’s passing, dedicated teachers soon realize that the days of teaching must now give way to days of reflecting, as all good tales go of passing the torch to the next generation of light bearers. Such is the reason for being of Teacher Talk: Reflections from the Frontlines, a collection of essays by 17 teachers with an aggregate 455 teaching years. The essays share success stories in teaching, as they unravel the authors’ reasons for affirming the decision to teach, and the reasons for their choice of teaching techniques. They share their first teaching experiences, their lessons learned and the approaches revised towards experimenting with and discovering teaching strategies and techniques with which to reach their students.

This book, as understood from its Preface, offers a diverse range of insights into the art and science of teaching, a field that is as challenging as it is rewarding.
