The University of the Philippines Cebu brought industry exposure and career development opportunities to more than 100 students from across Cebu through the MarkProf Batch 23 Campus Roadshow on September 19, 2026.

Held at the UP Cebu Performing Arts Hall, the forum introduced students to MarkProf, the Philippines’ longest-running alumni-led, free eight-day marketing and sales bootcamp.

Young professionals and marketing practitioners from various industries shared insights on leadership, career development, and navigating opportunities in the workplace.

L’Oréal Philippines Key Accounts Manager Alexandra Tuale emphasized the importance of taking on leadership opportunities to develop skills and gain professional experience.

Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation (RCBC) Business Relationship Officer Arvin Paculanang highlighted the competitive advantage of students from the regions, while Odoo Philippines Partnerships Consultant Ben Bensali encouraged students to find purpose as they build their careers and reminded them that starting over can be part of professional growth.

The forum also featured a resume-writing session and an orientation on the MarkProf bootcamp application process. Applications are open until the end of September 2026, with only 25 students nationwide to be selected for the program.

The speakers, all MarkProf alumni, encouraged participants to apply and make use of opportunities that can broaden their academic and professional experiences.

Students from various college programs and universities attended the event, including Cebu Normal University, the University of San Carlos, and the University of San Jose-Recoletos.

The event was initiated by the UP Cebu Management Circle as the first flagship activity of MCkisama, a student-led event series that brings together expert talks, hands-on workshops, and career development opportunities.

Through initiatives such as these, UP Cebu continues to connect students with industry practitioners and provide opportunities to develop practical skills beyond the classroom.
