The University of the Philippines High School Cebu held its 51st Convocation of Honors and 10th Promotion Rites and 49th Commencement Rites on July 9, 2026, at the Performing Arts Hall.
The ceremonies were attended by UP President Angelo A. Jimenez, marking the first time a sitting UP President attended the commencement exercises of UP High School Cebu.
The program was led by UP Cebu Chancellor Atty. Leo Malagar, UP High School Cebu Principal Asst. Prof. Kim Bondoc, and College of Social Sciences Secretary Asst. Prof. Sean Policarpio.
Atty. Llewelyn Menchavez-Porta (UP High School Cebu Class of 2001) served as the guest speaker for the 51st Convocation of Honors and 10th Promotion Rites and the 49th Commencement Rites. Dr. Ma. Florema Sy-Garcia (UP High School Cebu Class of 1991) delivered the commencement address during the afternoon ceremonies.
The morning program comprised the 51st Convocation of Honors, which recognized students for their academic performance and special awards, and the 10th Promotion Rites, which marked the completion of junior high school and the promotion of Grade 10 students to senior high school.
The 49th Commencement Rites in the afternoon conferred diplomas upon the members of the UP High School Cebu Class of 2026.
