As part of the nationwide implementation of the Commission on Higher Education’s (CHED) Development of the Innovation Blueprint of Higher Education in the Philippines project, the University of the Philippines Cebu hosted the CHED-IBP Research Team for a benchmarking activity on 7 July 2026 at Audio Visual Room 1.
Led by the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs (OVCAA) under Asst. Prof. Palmy Marinel Pe-Tudtud, the activity forms part of CHED’s initiative to develop a data-driven and evidence-based roadmap for strengthening the country’s research and innovation ecosystem through institutional benchmarking.
During the activity, the College of Communication, Art, and Design, College of Science, College of Social Sciences, and the School of Management presented their research initiatives and innovation efforts. They were joined by the Central Visayas Studies Center (CVSC), Technology Transfer and Business Development Office (TTBDO), Fabrication Laboratory (FabLab), and the Office of International Linkages (OIL), which shared their key programs, institutional initiatives, and best practices in research, innovation, and public service.
