The University of the Philippines Cebu honored the generosity and enduring commitment of its benefactors through the Unveiling of the Gratitude Wall and the Pasasalamat: Thanksgiving and Recognition of Donors 2026 last July 13.
The celebration commenced with the unveiling at 4:30 p.m. at the Administration Building, where eight institutional partners were recognized through the University’s Hexagon Recognition for their invaluable contributions to UP Cebu and its mission of education, research, and public service.
Recognized on the Gratitude Wall were Motor Ace Foundation, Inc.; Pilipinas Una Sa Lahat (Cebu) Foundation, Inc. (PUNLA); Alpha Machinery & Engineering Corporation/CL Follosco Group, represented by Maret Follosco Bautista and Jun Capule Bautista; the Commission on Higher Education (CHED); the Department of Science and Technology–Science Education Institute; Aboitiz Foundation, Inc.; Move to Change Foundation, Inc.; and La Nueva Pharmacy, represented by Ms. Christine Uy.
Following the unveiling ceremony, the University gathered donors, scholars, administrators, faculty, staff, and students for Pasasalamat: Thanksgiving and Recognition of Donors 2026 at 6:00 p.m. at the Performing Arts Hall.
The program featured messages of gratitude from scholarship beneficiaries, who shared how donor support has helped them pursue their education and achieve their aspirations. Donor representatives likewise conveyed their messages, reaffirming the value of collaboration in expanding educational opportunities and supporting the University’s continued growth.
The evening also included the formal recognition of donors for their steadfast partnership with UP Cebu, as well as cultural performances by UP Cebu Iskultura and UP Serenata, whose presentations highlighted the University’s vibrant artistic community and the spirit of gratitude that defined the celebration.
Through the unveiling of the Gratitude Wall and Pasasalamat: Thanksgiving and Recognition of Donors 2026, UP Cebu extends its deepest gratitude to its donors and partners for their unwavering support of the University’s mission. Their generosity continues to create opportunities for students, strengthen academic and public service initiatives, and help make inclusive, quality education more accessible to present and future generations.
