The Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Assoc. Prof. Patricia Anne Nazareno and Assistant to the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Prof. Mary Joyce Flores recently participated in the ASEAN University Network -Quality Assurance (AUN-QA)-organized 13th Assessor Training Workshop for AUN-QA Programme Assessment. The event was held from 28 April to 04 May 2023 at the University of Santo Tomas and Diamond Hotel in Manila.
AUN-QA was established to promote the harmonization of educational standards and continuous improvement of academic quality among universities in the ASEAN region. Its activities are guided by the Bangkok Accord, which was adopted in 2000 and outlines the principles for developing a quality assurance system to maintain, improve, and enhance the overall academic standards of AUNB member universities. The participation of Nazareno and Flores in the workshop demonstrates the commitment of UP Cebu to upholding academic excellence and enhancing the quality of education in the ASEAN region. By sharing knowledge and best practices with the other participants, they can contribute to the continuous improvement of academic standards and promote the development of a quality assurance system that benefits all member universities.
