Master of Business Administration Program

The Modern Management Imperatives require that everyone has to compete with everyone else regardless of geographic constraints, that  customer’s views which are now refined and sophisticated be sought and their desires respected, that turning an idea into a product or service (cycle time) be shortened, that the structure of work and work flow be  re-engineered and that the financial, physical, human and information resources be re- deployed.

The extent or reach of individual businesses is anchored heavily on information technology.    Managers must become globally knowledgeable and seek information everywhere in order to survive.  It is in this context that the Masters of Business Administration Program is designed and will be molded through the years.

The program has a balanced offering of core courses in the functional areas and general management, including electives in various specialized topics in business management.  Its main objective is to prepare students to become leaders of organizations competing in a borderless business environment that has grown increasingly dynamic and complex.

It is offered in the evenings and is designed to meet the needs of working professionals.  It is designed to be an 8 trimesters (2 2/3 years) program.  Courses are taught through a mix of teaching methods such as lectures, case methods, and computer simulations, and are handled by full-time faculty who are active in research, by lecturers drawn from practicing managers and Visiting Professors1 from U P Diliman.

Admission Requirements

The principal requirements for application include:
# Bachelor's degree in any field (copy of transcript required)
# Work experience (at least two years)
# Graduate Program Admission Test (GPAT) results
# Recommendations

Local applicants need to take the GPAT.  The test covers logic, basic quantitative skills and reading / language comprehension.  Overseas applicants are required to submit GMAT and TOEFL scores.

Applicants are required to have basic proficiency in accounting, economics and mathematics.  Workshops are offered (prior to the start of the school year) for students whose background shows deficiencies in these areas.
